Borders play an integral part in a country’s security, but borders are extremely vulnerable and prone to terrorist assaults, illegal smuggling of drugs, and unauthorized immigration. To achieve improved situation analysis, it is essential to fuse sensor-based detection with drone surveillance system to aid the present surveillance system.
With the increase in terror activities and theft, I decided to make a "Border Surveillance and Intrusion detection system" which will be achievable using drones and sensors. This system is a combination of two systems: Border surveillance which will be done with the help of a drone and Intrusion Detection, which will be implemented using various sensors.

Project Functionality
- First of all, the sensors need to be installed such as RF module, Nodemcu ESP8266, PIR and Sonar sensors for intrusion detection.
- If the enemy is detected, then the EPS8266 Wifi Module will send the intrusion data to the cloud which will be easily accessible.
- Simultaneously, the RF Module transmitter on the intrusion area will transfer an intrusion alert and also send the intrusion detected location coordinates to the patrolling unit which after that will activate the drone and send it to intrusion detected area.
- The drone will go and follow the enemy(if any) and using the night vision camera we will be able to see the enemy who crossed the border.
- With the help of face recognition software, we will gather the image of the enemy and store its image.

Project Working
For this project data will be generated with the help of sensors. PIR sensor will be use to generate data based on motion detection and SONAR will be used for generating the data consisting of the distance between the intrusion detected location and the sensor. The drone surveillance camera will be used for broadcasting live video of the area.
With this proposed solution we do not require any person to supervise the surveillance as the whole system is automated and the with the help of UAV (drone) determining when there is a false alarm without requiring to physically inspect the location or unnecessarily dispatch law enforcement.
This project will be very useful as it has various applications and it also solves various problems such as:
- As sensors will be installed around the border there is no need for soldiers to put unnecessary effort into patrolling .
- Maintaining and controlling surveillance remotely to monitor all prospects of a facility.
- Determine when there is false alarm without having to actually investigate the location.
- Less chances of terror attacks as the system is accurate enough to catch the enemy.

Drone surveillance will be detected using the mission planner software which will display the drone output on the map of mission planner. We have also made an object detection software which will classify between an animal or a person and we will be informed about the type of intrusion.
There are several projects on intrusion apprehension system using wireless system but they are not involved with border security or any other related field. Furthermore, my system will collect data from sensors and based on any intrusion detected it will activate the drone and send it to the target location which is a new innovation in this system. There exists no solution right now in which the drone is connected to the intrusion detection system which automatically operates the tracking of enemy.
